STYSA South Texas Cup Tournament

The STYSA South Texas Cup is a multi-stage tournament that is open to teams playing in Division II and Division III. The South Texas Cup is a developmental level statewide competition restricted to South Texas registered Division II and Division III boys and girls teams in the 11U through 19U age groups who are not already participating in another Cup competition.

The South Texas Cup begins with an Invitational District Tournament which will be held typically in early to mid April.  Hosting sites will be determined by the state office.  Entry into the Invitational District Tournaments will be restricted to those teams that have competed in a local association spring league the same seasonal year.

The District Tournament will include two brackets...a Division II bracket and a Division III bracket.  A Division III team may register to play in the Division II bracket.  Each bracket will have their own District (and State) champion.  The 17U age group will only have one bracket that combines both Division II and Division III teams. The 18U and 19U age groups will be combined into a "19U" age group and will only have one bracket that includes both Division II and Division III teams.

The State Tournament will be held after district play, and will include the first and second place teams in each age group from the two District tournaments, along with a representative from El Paso if entered.
